Eureden, a multi-specialist cooperative, and IEL, a leading energy player in the Greater West, signed a partnership on September 16, 2026 to strengthen their collaboration in the development of photovoltaic projects serving agricultural operations in Brittany and Loire Atlantique.
he objective is to offer innovative and tailor-made technical solutions , through self-consumption of electricity for rooftop power plants and agrivoltaics in poultry ranges .
In an evolving regulatory environment, photovoltaics remains a relevant solution for improving the performance of agricultural operations. Whether for individual or collective self-consumption, the cost of electricity is controlled over the long term, without being subject to an opaque market or tax increases.

This photovoltaic activity complements the electricity purchase advice that the Eureden cooperative put in place in 2025 for its members.
Faced with current challenges (renewal of generations of farmers, climate change, animal welfare, etc.), the Board of Directors of Eureden has also chosen to promote among the cooperative’s members the installation of shade structures for poultry farming in outdoor ranges , whether in organic, Label Rouge or free-range production.
Eureden and IEL will pool their expertise to carry out these projects up to commissioning, with two financial support solutions: investment carried by the operation or third-party financing with payment of an annual rent for the provision of the route.
Installing shade structures in outdoor runs, in addition to tree plantings, facilitates even occupancy by the hens and provides welcome extra shade during periods of intense heat. Agrivoltaics thus makes it possible to produce solar energy on agricultural plots without compromising their food production. It contributes to maintaining livestock production in the region and to the sustainability of the family farm model.
This agrivoltaic solution for poultry range complements the Eureden agrivoltaic offering already deployed in beef and dairy cattle.
