Partnership project between André Bazin and Arcado

Published on 30 October 2025

The Eureden Cooperative Group has announced a partnership project between its Franche-Comté-based subsidiary, André Bazin, specializing in charcuterie and ingredients for industrial and foodservice clients, and Arcado, a specialist in the production of regional charcuterie for supermarkets. Through this partnership, the two companies intend to further develop their markets for high-quality local charcuterie and expand their activities both upstream and downstream.

A partnership agreement has been signed by both parties to facilitate this merger. Based in Franche-Comté, Arcado would acquire a majority stake alongside Eureden. Implementation is expected in early 2026, subject to approval by the relevant authorities.

A strategic alliance serving the region and its customers

Through this partnership with a local player, Eureden is pursuing the strategy of its meat division.  This partnership with a specialist in regional charcuterie aligns with its objectives of:

  • Develop, thanks to Arcado’s experience, supply chains linked to upstream activities, and in particular to the pig farmers of the Eureden cooperative
  • Ensuring the long-term viability of the André Bazin company with management from the Franche-Comté region and the maintenance of production sites
  • Balancing the client portfolio between large and medium-sized retailers (GMS), the food service industry (RHD), and industrial clients (PAI); André Bazin being primarily focused on industry while Arcado has a strong presence in GMS
  • Developing markets and meeting customer expectations through the differentiated expertise of each company

For Arcado, a specialist in the market for quality-labeled charcuterie (PGI, Label Rouge, and other supply chains) and a champion of French charcuterie heritage, this partnership project aligns with the strategy developed over the past 20 years by Richard and then Olivier Paget. Arcado has thus grown as a platform of SMEs. Each of these SMEs, leveraging its existing teams, has maintained its unique identity to meet the diverse expectations of its clients and consumers, while preserving jobs.

The André Bazin company, a leader in charcuterie solutions, with strong R&D expertise primarily serving industrial and out-of-home catering businesses, will logically offer a diversified range of products and customers, corresponding to every moment of consumption, thanks to its complementary products and customers.

By joining forces, in a context of high concentration of distribution networks, the two companies affirm their commitment to creating sustainability in service to customers, farmers, employees, and the territory of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

Dany Rochefort

president of Eureden

“With these shared values and strong complementarities, this solid project fits perfectly into the strategy of the meat division of the Eureden group, while ensuring the long-term future of the Bazin company and its employees.”
