Eureden at the Élysée

Published on 10 February 2026

A few days before the opening of the International Agricultural Show, Marie-Gabrielle DANIEL, Managing Director of Eureden, participated in the meeting organized yesterday at the Elysée between the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron and representatives of La Coopération Agricole and the ANIA (National Association of Food Industries).

Alongside stakeholders in the agricultural and agri-food sectors, this meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the major challenges facing our sector and the essential conditions for sustainably preserving our food sovereignty.

On this occasion, Marie-Gabrielle Daniel spoke specifically on a central issue: water, a strategic resource for the future of production, both upstream in agriculture and downstream in industry. In a context of climate change and increasing pressure on this resource, the management, sharing, and optimization of water are priorities for preserving agricultural production and therefore the agri-food processing and associated jobs across all regions.

Other topics discussed with the President of the Republic, as well as Ministers Annie Genevard, Nicolas Forissier and Sébastien Martin, included exports and the announcement of a dedicated strategy, industry and the deployment of a plan for agriculture and agri-food, and Europe and the revision of regulations on commercial practices.

In an uncertain international context, food sovereignty is more than ever a strategic issue. It relies on structured, innovative and efficient supply chains, rooted in our territories and supported by coherent and transparent public policies.
